Starfleet captains are given wide discretion on the exact day-to-day operations. The Odyssey operates under a three-shift rotation, requested by Captain Tchang when she reported aboard.

OOC: This is during the “boring cruise” part of stuff. Red Alerts bring everyone to battle stations regardless.
