The Talaxian people are a gregarious lot, with a cultural trend toward being extroverted and community-oriented. While precious little of their history is known to the Starfleet visitors to the Delta Quadrant, they have become familiar with Talaxian culture through its sole ambassador, Skrillix.

It is known to the crew that the Talaxians were defeated in a war with a neighbor and scattered across this region. They are a regular sight at the trade stations the convoy has stopped at, and are commonly detected in their small transports on long range sensors. They have shown themselves to be a generally friendly presence in the quadrant, and it is hoped this friendly contact continues.
